We have a mold problem in our apartment. We have been waiting for 1 1/2 years for a repair, but we keep getting blown off by the owner of the building. Our rent has even increased in the meantime. What can renters do to get the necessary repairs that they need done?

I would find a new apartment. You have waited too long for it to be fixed and who wants to spend the time and money for a legal action.
Small claims court only costs
Small claims court only costs $21 to file. We don't have money to move or we would have a long time ago.
My girlfriend and I recently
My girlfriend and I recently moved into a Seattle basement apartment. Shortly thereafter, we received a letter from the former tennant stating that this apartment had a serious mold infestation that made her sick and caused her to move. We have allergy concerns, don't see mold, but do smell mustiness that seems to build up. Any thoughts/experiences? Thanks K

If it is in the walls may be to late. Try spraying with bleach in the problem areas. Thats the only way to be sure to ride your self of the headacke.
